About.com gives the "Stoked TCG System" 4 1/2 out of 5 stars
"The system made sense, and it made a lot of sense from a skateboarding perspective..."
"What I liked most about STOKED! was the artwork. The artist they got for these cards seriously rocks! I really like their style..."
"They have a weird way of capturing the action with blazing wheels and arcs of light in little cartoons, without the whole thing feeling cartoonish..."
"...They started on the right foot with Birdhouse, and Sumner and Santos."
"If you like CCGs and you skate, then STOKED! is the one for you. If you’ve outgrown Yu-Gi-Oh, but miss collecting and playing games like that, try STOKED!"
Gaming Report gives 4 out of 5 stars for "Skateboarding Must Die"
"The game is designed for those looking for a departure from games such as Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon..."
"...The younger playtesters in our group (I have a 13 year old, 14, year old, & a 15 year old ) said they really enjoyed it (a lot) , and will play again. The price is right for this type of game (even a little on the inexpensive side) and it is touching on a theme that is relatively unused."
"...An Organized Play program may shuttle this up into the main stream along side of game like Yu-Gi-Oh! or Pokemon."
"I do have to say that they do know their audience..."
We gave out free packs to over 1,300 people at the ASR tradeshow in San Diego, CA.
Many thanks are due to Steve Caballero, Animal Chin, and the multitudes of others who gave us their time and imaginations. Thanks for stuffing your pockets with our cards and hot nurse posters.
Thomas recently did some work on the Scanner Darkly movie which looks freakin' amazing (even with Keanu Reeves as the lead). Thomas was, of course, one artist out of many who were hired for the film but look for his work on fast moving scenes including cars, freeways and such.
"Socalia" artist in an article from his old hometown
Adam was featured in his old hometown's local paper. Does that mean he's a hero now? Probably not... but at least he escaped.
"Adam was just totally outstanding," Ross said. "The thing that you have to understand ... there's like over 100 different drawings (by Gillespie). It's an enormous project."
